Provides guidance/support/ subject matter expertise on privacy data sets, and guides application owners to determine what data sets they may have that are in scope for this initiative (determining if specific data elements are or are not considered privacy related, based on a set of guidelines, etc.). Helps to manage scope and prioritization for identified data sets (understands what is more important vs. less important, etc). People skills also a must here.
Looking for someone with strong experience analyzing data and pulling data sets. Putting together data mapping for integration with various systems and their internal applications.
Strong communication skills and ability to work across multiple lines of business and locations. Must be able to build strong relationships with application owners to help guide them in identification of the data sets applicable based on the guideline
This is a new team Data Privacy Team being created to initially support regulatory compliance with CCPA (California Consumer Protection Act).
Work with application owners to identify data sets that fall within the scope of CCPA.
Will also be building a customer portal outline to hand off to EIT to build. To ensure they are compliant with ability to provide the data to customers by January 1, 2020.
CCPA-the regulation grants a consumer a right to request a business to disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information that it collects about the consumer, the categories of sources from which that information is collected, the business purposes for collecting or selling the information, and the categories of 3rd parties with which the information is shared.
The team and deliverables keep growing so they are adding team members. Comp has also had a few individuals released
Crucial that they identify all relevant data that must be readily available to customers who fall within the guidelines to be available to the portal to avoid regulatory fines.
Strong communication skills and ability to working with technical teams and any requirements gathering skills (the data mapping documents are their requirements). Back-end SQL skills are a bonus going forward.
