A tourism and travel organization is looking for an experienced Digital Director who will oversee the digital marketing and communication strategy, as well as the alignment of all digital systems across the organization keeping the brands standard and best practices.

As the Digital Director you will create, manage and implement processes involving data information storage, security and compliances in order to provide insights to all departments towards organizational growth.

As a Digital Director you will:

  • Create, manage and improve digital strategy across all channels (websites, microsites, mobile, landing pages, etc)

  • Oversee and improve UX

  • Research and implement best practices of the industry

  • Develop and update ongoing websites, working close the internal team as well as agency

  • Oversee development and execution of digital projects managing timelines, objectives and service quality expectations

  • Provide assistance to all departments with technical expertise in developing new opportunities, selecting new technologies and digital resources

  • Manage development and implementation of data integrity processes, data and database aligned with data and privacy laws (GDPR, CASL, Privacy, and PII related laws).

  • Hold internal team accountable for using and adhering the data integrity processes including regular data audits

  • Manage digital marketing relationships with external partners and stakeholders as well as oversee system vendor selection, contract negotiations and system implementation

  • Create and implement digital communication including email campaigns and newsletters

  • Guide team on implementing and managing testing, application of learning orienting to improve marketing and sales efforts

  • Help with administration, support (help desk), training and third-party company databases and systems customizations

  • Help departments implementing operating procedures and consistency in data entry, data cleansing, and purging of data.

  • Be main point of contact for CRM vendor and system administrator for CRM, external databases and systems, as ell as training for all departments.

  • Manage vendor contracts and work closely with IT Director ensuring helpdesk request are being managed and technology (software, hardware, servers) upgraded regularly

  • Provide support and training to internal staff on business systems

  • Be responsible for orientation of new hires making sure resources are implemented (MS Office software, phone systems, CRM, Intranet, and other as needed)

  • Manage and supervise the marketing coordinator, conduct presentations and annual performance reviews

  • Represent the organization in the community by helping to staff sponsorship tables, booths activations at festivals, attend events, meetings, conferences and tradeshows as needed.

  • Eventually long distance travel will be required.
