We are looking for an experienced, proactive Events Manager, ideally with a background working with membership bodies / medical professionals, to join our dedicated team at an exciting time.

You will take the lead in delivering our Congress and events portfolio in all media (digital, hybrid and live). The Events Manager will play a critical role in supporting the next phase of growth and development for our International Society, shaping the future of ISAPS Events as we strive to support our members in an increasingly virtual environment.

In 2020, ISAPS transitioned operations from an outsourced office in North America to a global virtual office structure and set new strategic objectives for the next 5 years, including ambitions to improve, develop and expand its events and education portfolio. During COVID-19 the ISAPS launched and delivered more than 20 online webinars and courses as well as its first hybrid Congress in Vienna in September 2021. It is now planning for its World Congress in Istanbul in September 2021, and a new series of bimonthly webinars.

Events Manager Responsibilities:

• Ensure effective strategic and commercial delivery of the Society's World Congress and other events, working closely with the Executive Director and Education Council Chairs.
• Take ownership of ISAPS events from planning to delivery.
• Coordinate work across our Event management system, internal ISAPS Team, outsourced PCO and voluntary leadership to set-up, plan, promote and deliver the highest quality events and customer service: to raise the Society profile, and maximise income and engagement.
• Work with the relevant Committees and Chairs to define and coordinate events programs.
• General quality assurance: introduce, evaluate and improve processes, systems and services towards the highest quality in all areas, and in line with GDPR.
• Carrying out other duties as necessary to meet the needs of the Society

Events Manager Requirements:

We are looking for a confident, collaborative and proactive team player who can manage multiple projects effectively and at pace. An aptitude for technology is fundamental to the role as ISAPS manages its events through its own in-house system which you will oversee (with support of the systems account managers), as is a desire to contribute and to make a difference within our small team. You will have a professional attitude and the ability to maintain high standards of accuracy and quality under conflicting deadlines and in a primarily work-from-home environment. You like variety, have good attention to detail and are equally comfortable driving projects under your own initiative and working collaboratively.

We currently serve a growing membership of 5,000 Board certified plastic surgeons in 112 countries, working closely with our network of representatives of national membership bodies, our national secretaries.

Location: Home working, ability to travel (to London for meetings, and overseas for events as required and as COVID-19 restrictions allow)
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full Time (due to the international nature of this role some out of hours / weekend work is expected)
Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 depending on skills and experience
Start Date: Role is available immediately
