About this role:

The Lead Information Security Analyst performs a broad range of complex technical and administrative security functions to identify, investigate, analyze, and remediate information security events.  He/She leads security risk management and remediation functions to ensure enterprise integrity against technical, administrative and physical security risks are mitigated effectively within Information Security. This position determines the effectiveness of security controls, identifies risks and control gaps, and communicates areas for process improvement and solutions through the security governance and controls review process. He/She monitors Information Services (I.S.) security controls to protect enterprise and information assets. This position facilitates collaboration with other functions to identify security and business solutions.  He/She guides and trains colleagues to increase their information security, risk management and data protection skills and knowledge. He/She maintains current knowledge of cyber threats, regulatory data protection requirements, developing technologies and applications.  This position leads the development and maintenance of risk assessments, merger and acquisition security reviews, and security remediation plans for business units, subsidiaries and newly acquired companies integrating into the UPS Information Security Program.

The Lead Information Security Analyst is needed for the Information Security Europe Team. This team works on InfoSec Risk Management & Assurance projects like M&A Due Diligence & Remediation, Subsidiary Data Protection, GDPR Standards, Platform & Third Party Risk Assessments, Customer Contract Reviews and special projects. The Lead Analyst will be responsible for continued development and enhancement of our Information Security program in Europe as well as the development and execution of InfoSec GDPR risk and threats model, risk register management, and GRC development. The Lead will provide mentorship, training, and procedural guidance to other InfoSec Analyst working on Information Security Assurance, Risk Management & Special Projects.

  • Leads InfoSec Projects and initiatives in support of new M&A projects and recent acquisitions 
  • Conducts Information Security Risk Assessments on entities as well as IT Systems 
  • Develops Security Awareness Material for subsidiaries and special interest teams 
  • Organizes, leads and manages Information Security projects

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Highly effective personal and workgroup organization skills; Communication capabilities; Understanding of Information Security & Risk Management Principles;
  • Experience designing and working with workflow management platforms and tools
  • Understanding of and use of automation scripting development tools and technologies
  • Familiarity with cyber-security vulnerabilities, threats and cyber-knowledge resources
  • Certified in at least one Information Security domain (CISSP, CRISC, CISA, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cyber Security or related discipline
  • Experience with conducting Information Security Risk Assessments fast paced environment
