Description

We have an opportunity available to join our  MIS Department as an MIS Data Analyst. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis and hours of work will usually be 8.30 am to 4.30 pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30 am to 4.00 pm on Friday. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £20,565 - £23,495 per annum. The post may suit a recent graduate or equally someone looking to step into a career as an Analyst.

As an MIS Data Analyst, you will work with the MIS Manager to provide a high-quality and innovative information service for all College stakeholders including College leaders, teachers, parents, and students.

Your responsibilities as our MIS Data Analyst will include:

- Helping maintain and develop a suite of management information system and business intelligence reports which meet the College’s regular information requirements

- Undertaking proactive data analysis using innovative and appropriate methods and software packages

- Undertaking trend analysis, benchmarking, and forecasting to support the current and future needs of the College

- Identifying new data availability and sourcing strategies to address data gaps

- Summarising data by selecting appropriate descriptive statistics and data visualisations

- Undertaking quality assurance processes and reports to validate data using appropriate quality checking processes

- Contributing to the timetabling process

- Assisting with the maintenance of student records including, but not limited to, personal data, enrolments, and registers

- Contributing to the timely and accurate submission of funding and statistical returns

- Implementing appropriate personal, technical, and organisational measures to ensure that data processing is performed in accordance with the GDPR, and reviewing and updating those measures where necessary

- Carrying out such other duties, as the job develops, as may be reasonably required by the Principal in accordance with the College's flexible approach to the efficient delivery of a quality support service

- Acting in accordance with and promote the Staff Code of Conduct and Safeguarding and Prevent policies

Our ideal MIS Data Analyst will have:

- A degree (min 2:1) or equivalent qualification

- Experience of using data analysis

- Well developed Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel

- Excellent communication skills

- Excellent eye for detail

- Flexible team player and ability to work on own initiative

- Ability to multi-task, prioritise and work to deadlines

- Problem solving, precise and detail orientated

- To have an interest in investigating data
